Meet the Artist

Ethan Rice is a Massachusetts native who grew up spending summers on New England beaches and fishing almost daily on the Connecticut River across from his boyhood home. Being by the water is where he feels most at home — a place to reconnect with nature, slow down, and relax.

High Tide Hippie Co. really began with Ethan’s art. He’s an artist and printmaker — the fisherman with dreadlocks you’ll spot in our logo — and the creative force behind much of what we do. Ethan has been printmaking for more than 20 years, bringing a deep appreciation for traditional techniques and handcrafted work to every piece. He studied printmaking at Il Bisonte in Florence, Italy, where he developed his passion for creating bold, expressive prints by hand.

Today, Ethan continues to explore his craft through High Tide Hippie Co., drawing inspiration from the simple beauty of life by the sea.
